Dear Miss Victim
You’ve played this role for years. Being the victim of your own self-sabotage, seeking the approval to showcase the award of being fine. These lyrically written words seem as though the pen in your hand was being pressed down to paper that couldn’t obtain ink, but instead it was ENGRAVED IN YOUR PLASTERED TONGUE. Kind of like a TATTOO. Pulling and pushing to get off this CARNIVAL RIDE that you buckled yourself into and pressed go. SCREAMING FOR HELP but when people came running, you changed course and fell upon another set of tracks afraid of what would happen if you just got off. Yelling, “DO YOU SEE ME NOW” to people who have starred you in the face, telling you that they see you. Walking away from something special, saying GOODBYE as if you didn’t play a part to it either. Searching for someone TO FIND YOU when this is not a game of hide and seek anymore. Heading into the right direction to only say CROSSING PATHS was a better option than staying course. Understanding and FEELING THE DARKNESS when sometimes you could just turn on a light. Dipping into THE RABBIT HOLE seemed fun but unfortunately you never got out and that’s on you. You watched THE AMBER RED engulf the soul that you once loved, while you sat there, fire extinguisher in hand, playing the victim.
Please hear me when I say, I’m sorry for excusing my actions and not taking accountability for how I needed to handle certain situations. When there is a pattern, the answer can be you. Take time, reflect, understand, and be better. These stories were how I felt but I also was a part of the issue. THE VICTIM never wins, I lost, checkmate.
